To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

The holiday knitting is moving along. I have a finished project. As you may have noticed, I almost never finish anything, so this holiday knitting decision is a bit of an interesting choice and I am being careful to pick really simply projects--I may not be showing off my best knitting, but I will hopefully get gifts done in time. (My cousin, C, says that she expects her gift in June.) I have to say, I really do enjoy that step of getting things done. Below is the To Sleep, Perchance to Dream scarf, for the Lexington Aunt.



Pattern: One Skein Eyelet Scarf (the pattern of the back of the label)
Yarn: Artful Yarn Shakespeare in To Sleep, Perchance to Dream
Needles: size 11
Reflections: I enjoyed this project a lot. It was mostly knit on the shuttle to and from school. The lace is very, very easy, but I am totally new to lace knitting, having only done it once before, and so it was a bit of a problem that the yarn kind of felts as you work. It made it a bit hard to pick out mistakes and it is impossible to simply rip out stiches. In fact, the yarn pulls apart very easily, but it is pretty.
