Here is a picture of the socks on a rhodendendron bush in my parent's front yard.

I was trucking along nicely on the baby sweater for one of my classmate's new babies (and feeling a bit of pressure as I have 2 more August babies, an October baby, and a November baby to knit for) when I snapped one of the knitting needles in transport.

I really love beautiful wooden needles, but honestly, I think that the more I carry my knitting with me, the more it becomes clear that I am going to have to switch over to metal needles. Which is sad, but, on the up side, also cheaper.
And on the subject of baby knitting, I will not be responsible for what I say to the next friend to announce a pregnancy.
