Broken Computer

So, you will remember the post about the brokebn computer. Basically, as you will remember, the computer died, very much as if it had run out of juice, however it had been plugged in and the little light around the edge of the power chord was glowing as if everything was in working order. The folks at the archive were amazing. They had their tech guy look at it. He is a pc person, but he did figure out that the battery was not charging. Here is why: Compare these two pictures and notice that a piece is literally missing from the first one. In the end, I had to buy a new power chord and they had to extricate the male end of the plug out of my laptop.
